Oh wonderful rain...

It is raining today. The first rain of the season here in Socal. I have been excitedly anticipating it's arrival since yesterday. I love the rain so much because it reminds me of how fortunate I am for a cozy shelter.

One of the dictionary definitions for cozy is: enjoying or affording comforting warmth and shelter especially in a small space; "a cozy nook near the fire"; "snug in bed"; "a snug little apartment".

This is so very fitting as I am snug and happy inside our little apartment. I love the way the rain washes all of the toxins away.

Every day I think of at least one thing to be grateful for, it makes me so happy. Like Bob bohanna once told my mom who in turn told me... "You can be fearful or you can be grateful." I've noticed that grateful feels much better.

O.k. so Matt talks in his sleep....the things he says are hilarious!!! Yay...he just gave me permission to share...
Sometimes he stares me right in the eyes (at first when he would do this I thought he was wide awake until the things he was saying got so ridiculous that I realized he was asleep, especially when he would start snoring mid statement.)
So this morning he says:
" We've gotta get that male dog in my dream off the table, he shouldn't be there."
(apparently he was awake enough to know that the dog was a dream dog but not awake enough to realize that if that was the case than who cares if he is up on a dream table.)
Then he goes on to say " and you're right, that cute male dog on the table is gonna like that cute female dog of your mom's - That's good, everybody should be happy."

Ahh so fun!!!!

I love this recent story about a man who bought a glass scroll necklace for his fiancee. The man wrote a sweet message to her that she would wear around her neck and each time she would take a shower, the paper would get wet and dissolve, she would then ask him to re-write a message to her for her to wear. What a beautiful way to keep his love note fresh!

Scroll Necklaces for Cancer Treatment Centers of America

So privileged to have received an order for a wonderful man that works for the Cancer treatment centers of America. He ordered some scroll necklaces with very inspiring quotes inside of them. How beautiful... and he paid for the necklaces out of his own pocket... what a beautiful person.

Hope in the City Fashion Show - Wear your story

Getting ready for L.A. Fashion week. I had told a friend a short while ago that I would like to create more wearable art. Fashion is such a beautiful combination of engineering and sculpture that is displayed for all to see around town. Sure enough, not even a few days later, my publicist/partner/friend Janet tells me that she would like to create some designs for the Hope in the city Fashion show. http://mosaic.org/hitc/ It should be a great show... all of the designs will be made out of paper!

Readings in the Salon

I have been quite happy working part-time at California Styles Salon. I was fearful that working at the Salon might throw me into a pit of superficiality that I would not be able to rise from..... however....it has been quite the opposite.
I have been able to use my knowledge and experience both artistically and intuitively to guide others and have been able to read the energy that they are running and to subtley or more directly shift the energy with my words and through my hands. So Denise, you were right! I can do readings at the Salon while I am working on both hair and nails!

There is alot of symbolism in doing hair as well. I find that I am showing my clients how to " Do the work" as I am honoring and cutting with their natural wave and color patterns. With every consultation, I help my clients get to know themselves by pointing out the placement of their features, color patterns that exist in their skin, hair, eyes etc. and how these natural patterns and colors can be accented or complemented.

It has been such a healing experience for everyone and I am so grateful!

Studio Time

Well, I am back in the studion now. No shows for a little while. It's peaceful.... I do love the shows though too. I am really excited about doing Heartwork readings. It is such a natural progression to creation. We all channel our feelings when we create anyway. I think that when we create, we go into a , trance/dream-like state that allows access to out unconscious mind. It is our unconscious mind that I also believe is our access to the infinite and where we are better able to allow energy and knowledge to stream in. I have come to know things in a state of creativity that my logical mind would never have pondered only to find these things to later be verified by logic. So often our mind tricks us into believing that it is the controller of things but it is really only a reflection of the spirit energy that is flowing through us.

Tomorrow I go down to the Akashic to do a Heartwork reading for Barbara. I pray for openess and lack of expectation so that I can channel without blockages or limitations.

Conscious Life Expo

Last night I returned from the Conscious life Expo grateful and renewed. On the drive home I was thinking about how the energy at the show was so amazing. So many people at the show were loving and open. A man at the show came up to me and asked me if I thought it was like the New age version of Woodstock and that seemed pretty on to me. The difference between Woodstock and this event (I can only imagine as I was not born at the time) is that there were probably alot less drugs. No drugs necessary at an event like this when you can be high on inspiration and imagination.

The turnout this year was extremely larger than last year and I think that that number will only be increasing as more people are reaching to understand more how they are spiritual beings first and manifested bodies as a by-product of spirit only.

The massage therapists were really busy at the show... we carry so much stress in our muscles and massage is finally being seen more and more as necessary body maintenance rather than an optional luxury.

I am looking forward to networking with all of my wonderful new friends that I made at the show and have created a Facebook group for the show so that we can connect and share stories online:

Police Officer wears Scroll to work.

When I created the Bullet Scroll, I considered it to be my ultimate turnaround....turning what was once created to be a source of pain, to now have become a source of peace and understanding. I was so excited to find out yesterday that one of my customers is a police officer and that she wears her scroll with her message inside with her to work every day. Peace comes to us in so many different forms, in the people that care for us and protect us daily, behind the scenes, loving us and keeping our lives from harm. Thank you to all of the "Peace" officers that risk their lives for those of us that are unwilling or unable to protect themselves.

A coach supports his team with words of support written in their scroll necklaces

A couple of weeks ago I got a call from Illinois, the call was from a football coach named Greg who found the Scroll necklaces online and wanted to buy some to support the kids on his team. Greg decided on a quote for the boys and I printed it on the inside of their scroll along with each of the boys names and team numbers. I mailed the scrolls off last week and am so excited to hear the outcome as this story has really touched my heart. The music I had been listening to was Native American chants and I thought it was rather interesting considering your coach mentioned red pride. Is this a Native American team of some sort? I am so impressed with these washable produce bags. I brought them to the store the other day and felt really good about myself. It was really easy to do too. The bags are made of a nylon netting that dries almost instantly after you shake it so you can put it right into your canvas bag and it is ready again for shopping. You can store your veggies or fruit inside and even wash all the little grapes right in the bag. When you store the veggies, the holes in the bag allow the ethelyne gases to escape through the vents so the food doesn't rot quickly.... you can even spin your lettuce in the bag and store it!.....Good job going green Cindi! Make a Wish Fundraiser at the Canyon Club

This was a wonderful event held on Friday the 7th. The Tri-counties make a wish foundation was holding an Auction with their featured entertainer of the evening being Davy Jones (You know, the lead singer of the monkeys!) He was great. Sounded great and full of energy.
I never had a chance to get an autograph for the autographed scroll collection...next time!

Two of the children received sponsors that evening and both of the children and their sponsors each received scroll necklaces that they can share messages with one another in. What a sweet thing!

Dear Monica,how wonderful to receive your words, being born from your divine presence. I was walking today from work. I walk through a golf course. So I get a chance to be in nature everyday. I was admiring Life, expressing itself. The Greenery, the scent of fresh air, and the magic of birds flying. I thought how Amazing is God. How His Imminence is boundless in His Creating, and the magnitude of creations, co existing here on Planet Earth, arising from Source. I felt tears in my ears not from sorrow, yes there was pain present also, but not due to loss, but sensing my Heart Center expanding and embracing the Wonder and Beauty of Life. In Her Glory Mother Earth is so Abundant and Full of things for us to have so that we can live here. How rich we are, beyond measures. Only recognition is required, than a surrender in Trust to Divine Will and that ones needs will be taken care of. Out of this simplicity we meet each other Monica. Sharing and surrendering to the will of the One. As this happens than Love is experienced. Is it I that Loves? No. It is Love Dancing in me and me being its witness.
